Here's my story, I hope someone can help. On Christmas eve 2010 someone set fire to my back house and it was a total loss. There are two houses on my property and thankfully I live in the one that didn't burn. Now before you think wow must be a nice place, it is not. The entire both properties were valued at 21000 and now my home is only worth about 15000. The problem is my estranged husband left me without house insurance, he was supposed to pay it. The city came and demolished what was left of the house and have sent me a tax bill that includes the cost of demolishion. It's 25000! I am in an agreement with them for back taxes that the ex also did not pay. I have to keep my current taxes paid but there no way that I can pay that 25000. If I could, I certainly would. This old crooked house is all I have. I only live on SSD and a very small pension from my first husband. I am at my wits end, I can't afford to rent somewhere if they kick me out of here. I have fibromyalgia and that is what prevents me from working. I get no support from the ex and he has totally abandoned me. I tried to get a divorce through legal aid but they said they don't enough resources to help me. If anyone has any ideas on how I can save my house I would appreciate it!

Wow Derrick:)I read ur story and cant believe the ordeals u have gone thru,I truly ave alot of compassion for you,and many times I wonder why "me","us".I tell u I hit a real bad spot,and I ended up hoding a sign,asking for anukind of assistance,I stood crying,as people with expexivw clothes cars would drive by,but the people whom were on the poor side were right there to help me,even offering to take me get groceries with thier lasr bit of food stamps,which i couldnt,as I felt too bad.I made 23$ that day,with probably 100plus cars,going by.just sad.I feel so many people take advantage of people,and most people are heartless towards people in need:)I will pray for u my friend:)I wish I coiuld do more:)Take care,Jill

in response to gonecrazy...First of all you and your husband are still married, it is still his responsesability, to give his family home, even if that means he does without. Go for disability, I have Bipolar, an chronic pain.

We live here in Tarpon SPrings. We have lived here for 3 years. It is just me and my boyfriend and our little dog "lizzie". If you could help us out we really would appreciate it. Our needs are clothes:boyfriends pants size is 50x30,2xshirt,shoe size 9 . My size for shirts and pants are 4x. Shoe size 11W.Bra size 48DD and underwear are 13. You can't really find our sizes in stores,but online i know there are alot of cheap places to shop. I am also in the process of trying to get healthier, i have quit smoking. But I am in need of Nicotine 4mg mint lozengers to help me keep my quit. We are both disabled,he is a disabled Vet. We really are in need of furniture and household items. Yeah it stresses you out and I go back home and the next thing I know I'm getting yelled at by my so called foster mother for nothing. hello, i was told this was the site that ppl helped ppl. i worked for a company for 20 years and they closed down i was out of work for 3 years i found a job about a year ago still its better than zero dollars coming in. im making a fraction of what i made. my taxes were sold and im not current with my taxes this year, yes i have been saving to pay them but when i have the money something breaks(car,dryer,washing machine) if its not one thing its another(lol)yes i know its not a laughing matter. i have 2 children and they see me stressed i dont let them know we are about to loose our house, i have let my brother and sister know about my problem my brother is on unemployment and really cant help me my sister who lives about an hour away just laughs and says its all my fault.im not a bad person i have bailed my mom out when she was in foreclosure when i had a good job and now she turns her back on me when i need the help.i would really like any help with websites ,advice anything ..im getting really desperate... if there is anyone out there that can help my family please help

My 'adopted' family in Indonesia need financial help. I am dealing with the spiritual support side of things and now I need to find £2000 for them.
The family got ripped off in a business deal, which left them owing £2.500 to the bank. I can personally only been able to give £500, plus money for other needs which have occurred over the last few months (like medical bills).
The consequence of defaulting on this bank loan will be 5 to 10 years imprisonment for all the members of the family except for the baby and woman in the photo and her unborn child. This is because the agreement has to be sighned by the whole family.
The 2 elderly parents and the only two working males will go to prison unless we can change their fate. The elderly couple will likely not survive the duration due to the conditions of the prisons in Bali. The expectant young woman will not be able to take time off work and pay the travel expenses in order to regularly to take rice to the prison.
Unimaginable as it seems, this is the reality of life in Bali for poor people, you can do your own research, you can also google to discover the reality of life in a Balinese prison. The local Balinese don't have the where- with-all to avoid being victim to these kinds of situations, or to deal with them.
They need £300 by the 26th September and the remainder by the 10th of October.
Please give what you can, if you will.

I used to work for The Homeless Coalition in Florida so I am suggesting that no matter where you live, if you have need for housing or anything, check with your local homeless association or your local Department of Children and Families and they will certainly do all they can to help. That is so awful.. I'm so sorry.. That poor baby, I know a similar thing happened to my ex and his daughter when he left her with the mother and her newer boyfriend at the time.. I'll never understand people who hurt their babies, I'm a parent myself and lord knows it can be more than frustrating from time to time, but I think it takes a person with some serious hate inside to not be able to set the baby down somewhere safe and walk away.. I am so sorry that you and your son will have to live with this for the rest of your lives, lord knows everyone deserves a chance at a normal life and it truly hurts to know that someone tried to take that gift from a baby.. I live in a rural area myself and know that in order to get anywhere it takes a vehicle and with the price of gas it is exceptionally rough.. I'm lucky and blessed enough to have a hand me down truck that my parents gave me when my car broke down, but I'm still working on getting the money to get it insured.. I hope some of this helps, and if you have access to a computer often or even through a library like me, you can always try to look up some links and resources.. I also believe that your child will qualify for medicaid and SSI which may help as it would be money in hand and could possibly help with finding you transportation to and from a doctors office for his needs, and in some cases if you are able to find a ride, some plans may reimburse you for the mileage that it takes you to get him there.. If you haven't already, make sure you apply for financial assistance through the hospital, medical facility and doctor's office asap, as without an income or a low income, he should be able to lower his bills significantly. In addition, contact DSHS to determine if he can get any Medicaid related healthcare assistance. I am shocked that you can't get food assistance with an income of 8.75 an hour. When was the last time you applied for EBT? They did change qualification requirements and extended the max amount by quite a bit recently ... As far as WA state where I'm at, 2 people who make up to $4000 a month may qualify for food assistance. I know that the assistance amount goes down the more money the household head makes, but I would certainly think that you'd qualify for some benefits. Especially if you're single with two kids ... If I were you I would reapply.
Life is looking better!!!! I am still struggling monetarily but I am maintaining a happy and positive outlook. My sick days are fewer since I escaped the abuse and my doctor is so happy that she actually thanked the people that I live with now. I have two fabulous room mates and though I may not be able to move to CA as I wish to, the DFS here has offered to assist me in my custody battle so I may get my kids yet. I am still on waiting lists for housing, but I am pretty sure I will have something within four months. I am making crafts to sell on ebay for a trip to visit my kids in CA and am hoping to be able to do that very soon. I could do without the MS, Meniere's disease etc....but I refuse to let it beat me. I am going to win!!!! Thanks to all who listened to me when I was down and helped to pick me up by my boot straps, I really appreciate it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The times we are living in are difficult we just have to pray and stay true to God and let him bless and protect us! My Ex Landlord and I are still friends but she plans to bulldoze the house down and not rent to anyone else. I was really afraid that we were going to die in that house and I prayed harder than I ever had in my life and I just knew God would rescue us out of that situation! And he did! Praise God! in response to Starshine...Hi, Starshine! She didn't have the money to fix the house up. She is the Aunt of a close friend of mine so I didn't want to get her into trouble plus she's a Christian too. The house is still falling down and I have a few things that I still have to get out of there. We are trying to get it out before it falls down! We are blessed to have made it out of there when we did. Everytime we go back over there I get dizzy and sick from the mold and nervous over the snakes! I love where we live now...but we are on the Madrid Earthquake Fault Line now we feel the earthquake tremors every morning~ We are considering moving again even though we really like where we are now but we can't get our money together it's been a struggle~! in response to whoknew...I did file charges and have left messages with the crime victims, but have yet to hear a call back. I also called the domestic violence organization and due to my illnesses they aren't comfortable or as they say "equipped" to deal with someone as ill as I. I am about to go to a meeting with community action to see if they can provide more and my tribe is faxing them an intake to try to get me some more assistance through them, but being out of their state makes it difficult. I am on many many wait lists for assistance. The lists are long, most a year or more, but I received some new links thanks to Scmidty and will be contacting them as well. I hate having to ask for assistance on top of the degradation that these diseases cause. He wasn't arrested due to the fact that I was stupid and only called the police the next day so I am also dealing with the D.A. who I know from being a paralegal. Casper Wyoming just doesn't have much and from what I have been told they turned down some federal funding that would have helped.

You don't close request here on Aidpage.There are a number of people who are in the same boat as you, I am for one.There is also a number of people who would be willing to help in their way.Some willl only be able to lend an ear but at times that's all that is needed.
